Kumbirai Goneso

Kumbirai is the Head of Strategy for Bboxx a role which he sees as a confluence of career and passion. “The transformative work which we are doing as Bboxx requires that we collaborate with several partners which include investors, regulators and suppliers whilst putting the consumer first. My role is to ensure that there is a fine balance and alignment of the interests of all the stakeholders” says Kumbirai.

In July 2021, he was named in the top three young members of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (Under 35) who have contributed significantly in their areas of influence as recognition of the work he has done in various assignments across Southern and East Africa. Prior to joining Bboxx in January 2021, he was the Head of Finance for Liquid Telecom Uganda with a dual responsibility as the Regional Financial Controller for East Africa overseeing operations in Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, and Rwanda.
